Not all Old-Fashioned!

While the Courier Cafe has an old-fashioned feel, it is not all old fashioned.  They know how to keep their modern customers happy.  They have a website with their menu posted and directions for how to get there. http://www.couriersilvercreek.com/couriercafe/index.php?q=node/1  They are located in the heart of downtown Urbana near several local shops.  They also offer some outdoor seating on the street when the weather is nice.  There are always people of all ages inside.  While the Courier Cafe has an old time feel, it always attracts all age groups alike.

The Desserts!

As I said in my previous post, The Courier Cafe has great, famous milkshakes but they also have giant cookies, pie, and brownies to name a few.  The case with all of the baked goods is right up at the old-fashioned register, likely to entice you to get a cookie to go if you're pressed for time.  Not to mention while you're paying there is a gumball crane machine from the early 1900s for your children (or you) to play with.  All of these desserts are homemade, and they taste like it!  Everything is made in the cafe, fresh everyday.

The Courier Cafe's Old Fashioned Feel

The Courier Cafe in Urbana Illinois is a great location with an old-fashioned feel.  Most of the menu options have a unique name, for instance, "The Banker's Burger."  While The Courier Cafe has all of the standard options that come with a restaurant, they also have some more classics such as their famous milkshakes.  You can get these milkshakes in a variety of flavors that seem endless.  They also have New York Egg Creams and Phosphates. These types of menu options give the feel of an old-fashioned dining experience.
